From the Runway to the Streets….
Need the right fit? We’ve got you covered. The trends for this spring are looking pretty crazy and pretty exciting, and we can’t wait to share them with you. With extensive research on behalf of the FifthandNinth squad we’ve picked outfits apart coming from the runway and down to the streets. This spring is has a huge focus on shoes. Yup, that’s right shoes are the accessory of the season and we will show you the right kitten heels and flatforms to wear to keep you in style for Spring 2017.
WRAP IT UP
We are all wrapped up in this trend! Stylists are using strappy heels and strappy flats to put emphasis on the ankle this spring. They are pairing them with bare skin or with fun tights for an edgy look. Below are these adorable Altuzarra heels and red cherry tights to pop the color.

THE FLAT FORM
Platforms have been around forever but this Springs trend is the flat form. That’s right, they are back and better than ever! This look is all over the runways and designers like Dolce Gabanna, Gucci, Prada, Versace, and Balmain are making their own flatforms. Featured below is Erdem’s blue snakeskin flatform seen at London fashion week. Snakeskin, another huge trend this Spring.
THE KITTEN HEEL
Sometimes it get’s tiring wearing a 4 inch heel stumbling over cracks in the sidewalk and trying to dance with the fear of falling. Soooo we love this look because you still get the height and the heel but nothing too dramatic! A safe and cute kitten heel is the new Spring trend and we are seeing a lot of them with bows, leathers, and ruffles. Designers like Chloe, Dior, and Givenchy have all made incredible versions of their own. Check out Dior’s ready-to-wear version of this look below…
LOUISE ET CIE
THE VARSITY BOOT
Designers and stylists are calling this trend the most unexpected of Spring 2017. This athletic inspired boot comes in all different shapes and sizes. We are seeing them laced to the knee, short and paired with built in socks, with or without a heel, and some with a flat form. There’s lots of variety’s to this trend so you can pick the most fitting to you and your style! Below is DKNY’s version which we found to be most unique. A sneaker with built in socks to add the boot effect.

Kind of a tongue twister and kind of a shocker! Usually we put our leather away come spring but designers like Celine, Alexander McQueen, Louis Vitton, and Balenciaga have come up with warm weather leather! Not as thick, not as heavy and in vibrant colors and animal prints! If you asked us we’d have to say Balenciaga did it best with these sexy red thigh highs below…
Chinese and Japanese inspirations have hit runways everywhere this spring/summer! Throughout fashion week designers ie Gucci, Prada, and Versace have all created their own oriental designs. from boots to heels this inspo is different and ancient chinese shoe culture is coming alive in foot fashion.
