Marketplace Business Development

Fifth & Ninth is looking for an entrepreneurial, creative and passionate Marketplace Business Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running, thrive in a fast paced environment and be detail-oriented. They must be a self-starter and a team player with the ability to quickly identify areas of opportunity to create procedures that increase efficiencies, scalability and effectiveness. Amazon will be one of the main accounts, so knowledge on Amazon’s Marketplace is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise and execute strategic plans to increase revenue for online marketplaces
  • Monitoring and optimise daily sales performance
  • Initiate promotional strategy to drive sales
  • Create product listings on the relevant platforms and update product detail pages
  • Other responsibilities include filling incoming POs, tracking & maintaining inventory, forecasting demand, and increasing sales volume
  • Achieve assigned sales target in order to increase the market share
  • Identify sales opportunities on new online marketplaces
  • Prepare budget, sales forecast reports and support various market research
  • Monitor competition and market trends in order to expand and maintain the existing product pipeline

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Business, Marketing discipline or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant selling experience on e-Commerce marketplace platforms
  • Passionate about technology, fashion and lifestyle brands
  • Experience with managing B2B / B2C businesses and customer service
  • Data-driven and possess an analytical mindset
  • Wants to be part of a growing start-up team
  • Knowledge of e-commerce toolkit such as Woocommerce¬†is an advantage
